Alan Alton and Kevin Higgins are employed by Royal British Legion, Northumbria as fully trained fitters, to cover the Tees-Side, Co. Durham and Tyne & Wear areas respectively. They will be able to help those in our area, who are unable to carry out their own essential household repairs and installations.

Being able to live independently at home is something that most of us take for granted. But for many people, looking after a home can be a source of frustration and difficulty. Even dealing with minor chores such as changing a light bulb, or fixing a broken lock can prove to be a real struggle.

POPPY CALLS provides a free dedicated handy-person service to those who are unable to carry out small repairs and minor alterations to their homes. Using our own trusted and trained fitters, in partnership with other specialist agencies, we can take away the jobs that make life difficult.

All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence and each application will be considered carefully.
