The Poppy Appeal in Northumbria
The 2011 Poppy Appeal has incredibly passed the £1million
milestone. The total, which to date stands at £1,138,306.54
reflects not only the overwhelming generosity of people in the
North East but also the incredible efforts of the hundreds of
volunteers who make it all possible.
Thank you on behalf of those who will benefit from this
support.
Volunteering- How to get involved
Each year over 100 Poppy Appeal Organiser's and 1000s of
individuals give their time to the Poppy Appeal from Berwick to
Middlesbrough. Whether you can spare one hour, one day or one week
- we need your help!

Fundraising
All year round we have fantastic fundraisers offering their time
and support to raising funds for the Poppy Appeal. From coffee
mornings to marathons people fundraise on behalf of The Royal
British Legion. Whether you're an individual or a business there is
a fundraising option for you. If you are planning an event please

Organise an Honour Walk
Honour walks are a fun new way to raise money for former and
current Service people. Whether you walk around a local park or up
a mountain, you can help The Royal British Legion raise over
£100,000 to go towards projects such as:
* Our Battle Back Centre, a new facility for
enhancing the recovery of wounded, injured and sick Service
personnel; and
* Personnel Recovery Centres providing
accomodation and help with rehabilitation and recovery
