North Wales District Annual Conference 2012

NORTH WALES DISTRICT

ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2012

Notice is hereby given that the North Wales Annual District Conference will take place on Saturday 28th January 2012 at the RAFA Club, Llangollen. There will be a buffet lunch available from 1200 hrs and drinks are available from the bar with the Conference starting at 1300 hrs.

ATTENDANCE AS A DELEGATE AT THE ANNUAL DISTRICT CONFERENCE

1.   Every year there is confusion at the Annual Conference on who is a delegate, who can vote and who can attend. It's very straightforward;

·        Attendance - Any legion member can attend the Conference with a guest or guests. It's an opportunity to meet fellow legion members within North Wales and meet the District Committee. Enjoy some nice food, listen to the speakers and hopefully have a fun day.

·        Delegates - A delegate is someone that is nominated by their branch to attend the District Annual Conference and their name must be recorded on the MS1 for the Legion year 2011/2012. A delegate is the only person that can speak and vote on any issues raised at the Conference. This could be voting on new District Committee members or on any motions. (MS1 Forms will be issued soon to all branches and must be completed and returned to the District Office by 31 December 2011).

·        The District Committee are NOT delegates and are NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE.They are there to show support to the District Chairman and help out on the day.
