The Annual Poppy Golf Competition 2011

The 2011 Lincolnshire and Rutland Seniors Sections Poppy Golf competition will be similar to the very successful 2010 event.  The format of the first round will be of your own choice, on your home course on a date in October 2011 to suit your fixtures.  You may decide to run it in conjunction with an existing fixture.  In the past the clubs that have been most successful have boosted their takings by running a raffle or something similar.  The prize for the section winner on the day will be £15 from your takings.  All supporting material will be provided to your organizer.

The final round will be held at Woodhall Spa on the Hodgkin course on Friday 11th November 2011. This round will be a full handicap Stableford competition followed by a meal in the clubhouse and prize giving.

It has not gone unnoticed that some smaller seniors sections have a disadvantage.  So this year's competition is even more exciting as there will be a raffle of all competing sections who are not going to Woodhall by right, to win a place in the

 final round.  Therefore, the top three countywide sections that raise the most money will each be invited to send three players plus their organiser to the event and the 4th section will be invited to send two players plus their organiser. Then all clubs who have entered and who are not in the top 4 collecting sections will go into a draw and one club will be invited to send two players plus their organiser .
