Fundraising Events

The Poppy Appeal is one of the best known and supported campaigns in the calendar and each year the nation shows its support for The Royal British Legion's work by giving generously to the Poppy Appeal. We're aiming to raise £36 million in 2010 to help the Afghan generation of the Armed Forces family. 

We have now committed to contribute £25 million over 10 years into the MoD's 'recovery capability' for injured Service personnel. The Personnel Recovery Centres will provide residential accommodation for Service personnel undergoing recovery and also run tailored programmes to assist them in their rehabilitation and return to duty or smooth transition to civilian life. 

In Lincolnshire, our Community Fundraiser is Ms Jo Ticehurst who co-ordinates fundraising events and actively seeks volunteers to assist her in this huge task. In 2011 the following fundraising events will take place.
