The Poppy Appeal in Greater Manchester
Each year, in November some 30,000 Royal British Legion
volunteers take to the streets of Great Britain with poppies
and collecting boxes, with the aim of raising millions of pounds
for the Poppy Appeal.
The money collected at this time and from numerous other
fundraising events held throughout the year, goes to provide
both help and support to serving and ex-Service men and women
and their dependants.
There are many ways that you can help to raise money for the
Poppy Appeal, while also helping to raise
awareness within your community and to find out more

Poppy People
The Royal British Legion is always in need of new
volunteers to become Poppy People and assist with
Poppy Appeal collections across Greater Manchester.
Without volunteer's out there on the streets, without
dedicated appeal organisers planning the collections, this
great cause - that helps thousands of ex-Service men and women
every year - would grind to a complete halt!
We urgently need more people to come forward and becoming a
Poppy Person can be equally rewarding, along with
being fun. You can sell them in your work place, college,
university; among your family and friends, or even
join with others at a local collection point - the choice is
yours!
Please contact our Poppy Appeal
Coordinator if you are interested in helping.
