FREECLAIM SOLICITORS DONATE
TO LOCAL BRANCH
Manchester personal injury firm Freeclaim
Solicitors have donated £2,000 to the local Royal British Legion
Branch and Michael Swindells who suffered major injuries whilst
serving in Afghanistan.

Senior Associate, Robert Jones, attended
the fundraising night on the 19th February. Robert
commented, "We are proud to be working with the Royal British
Legion, helping to raise awareness and much needed funds for
ex-Service men and women. The fundraising evening was a great
success and we wish Michael well with his ongoing
recovery."
The fundraising event was held to raise
funds for the Branch, the Veterans International Agency (VIA) and
local hero Michael Swindells from Wythenshawe. Whilst serving in
Afghanistan, Michael, aged only twenty five, lost his left leg and
also suffered damage to his right leg, as well as losing colleagues
whilst on his tour of duty. Michael however is making good progress
with his rehabilitation and is now out of a wheelchair and learning
to walk with the aid of crutches.
Mr Herbie Roberts, Club Chairman,
commented, "I am extremely grateful for the generous donation
by Freeclaim Solicitors and the recognition of the work that the
Royal British Legion does in helping ex-Service men and women, as
well as raising money for good causes through their tireless
fundraising."
The Royal British Legion Club is the oldest
and last remaining military club in the Wythenshawe area. It has
served as a base for ex servicemen and women for over sixty years.
The branch is responsible for looking after the welfare and the
needs of ex-Service people and their families and dependants.
Freeclaim Solicitors (www.freeclaim.co.uk) are extremely proud to be
associated with this cause.
