JESS CONRAD
Our client, 60s singing icon Jess Conrad, has just started to
put together a tour for his exciting one man show.
An Evening With Jess Conrad is a perfect one night event (or
matinee if preferred, as Jess is hugely popular with the more
senior audiences) to fit in your calendar and includes a first half
of Jess reminiscing about his film and television career,
accompanied by video and stills, and working / socialising with
greats such as Diana Dors, Jane Wyman, Roger Moore, Gregory Peck,
Kevin Spacey, David Bowie, Cliff Richard and many, many
others.
The second half will see Jess perform some popular 60s and West End
musical numbers (he was the first ever Joseph in the West End, as
well as starring in Godspell), and end with a short Q&A session
with the audience.
It is a fun, upbeat and irreverent show by a truly entertaining
star. We are booking dates from April onwards, and would be
delighted to hear from you of your interest in Jess perhaps coming
to your venue.

British Legions 90th Birthday
Celebrations
British Legions 90th Birthday Celebrations this
year we thought that we could be of some service to the Clubs you
have within the Four Counties. The Legions may be thinking of
ways to celebrate the 90th Birthday. How about a
1920's (Charleston) Themed Party/Event or 1930's/1940's Themed
Party/Event incorporating music and dance from the
Swing/Jive/Jitterbug era. We are available to DJ, teach fun
classes, or perform along with our own Performance Group.
Below I have added some information about us (Mel & Mike)
and also a little bit about the dance.

Swingsters
A bit about us: Mel & Mike of
Swingsters
We have been teaching Swing Dance, Lindy Hop, Balboa,
Charleston, Blues, Boogie Woogie and authentic Jazz together for 5
years, both at our regular venues, Borough Councils, Cultural
Centres, other swing dance organisations and camps across the
UK.
We perform together and with our own performance group at
private, corporate, society, charity and public events up and
down the country, our yearly largest public performance is at
Twinwood.
A bit about the dance and what we
do:
Lindyhop is a fun dance born in the Harlem district of New York
at the Savoy ballroom in the late 1920's.
We will teach you to dance together to music
ranging from Charlestons of the roaring 20's through to the
big band swing of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, Ella
Fitzgerald, and the cool rat pack sounds of Sinatra and Sammy
Davis Jr, through R'n'B Jump Jive, Boogie Woogie, and
Rock'n'Roll, right up to the modern day with Harry Connick Jr,
Michael Buble and Robbie Williams. We want you to have fun
while learning to dance socially, what better way to get
exercise. All you need to bring is some comfy shoes and your
smile, cos your gonna need it!
Our classes are fun, relaxed and friendly, allowing
you to enjoy a good time as you learn to dance.
You don't need to have a fixed partner as everyone rotates
in the class, by the end of the class everyone will
have danced with everyone.
