Welcome to The Royal British Legion in Berkshire and Vale of
White Horse
We follow the old Berkshire boundaries, then along the line of
the Thames north towards Oxford and finally west to Shrivenham.
This reflects the traditional regimental recruiting area of the now
disbanded Royal Berkshire Regiment. The area is shown
pictorially here.
The Legion is very active in the County with 48 branches,
16 Clubs and approx 10,000 members. The County
Offices are in Arborfield Cross, near Reading. It is here
that the County Manager, previously known as the County Field
Officer, the County Secretary, the County Welfare Office and the
Community Fundraiser are located. We are here to administer and
support the delivery of welfare services and the membership and
fundraising activities of the Legion's branches and clubs
throughout Berkshire.
Membership of The Royal British Legion is available to all
adults, not just members or ex-members of the forces and we
always welcome new members. Drop into your local branch or click here to find out how you can
join.
