Database Coordinator, Fundraising

The Fundraising Division of The Royal British Legion is looking for a Database Coordinator to help manage and run the new Fundraising Database (CARE). 

Reporting to the Database Manager, you will work along side the Campaign and Data Analyst. This team works with all the Fundraising departments - Poppy Appeal, Events, Corporate, Direct Marketing and Community - being at the heart of the divisions’ activities and raising over £46 million in voluntary income.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Day to day operations and use of the Fundraising Database System.
  • Investigate customer generated queries and be the first point of contact and expert user for members of the fundraising teams.
  • Running daily database routines to manipulate, clean, maintain, export and import data.
  • Prepare and carry out testing routines for system upgrades and development.

The ideal person should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge of Windows Based Software
  • Knowledge of SQL Languages
  • Knowledge of reports and report writing
  • Understanding of database design
  • Experience of acceptance testing and scripting
