Volunteer Training Officers

Salary - up to £30,000 pa

As Legion activities continue to grow and evolve there is requirement for additional Learning and Development support at everal levels in two key areas - staff learning and development, and Membership and Volunteer training and support. You will join a vibrant Learning and Development Team, reporting through the Head of Learning and Organisational Development to the HR Director. You will be responsible for supporting the delivery and evaluation of the Learning and Development strategy, and ensuring it is effectively transferred to the workplace.

There is requirement for two additional Training Officer roles to support an existing team of two. The primary focus of these roles is the continued development and delivery of training to support both our 400,000 strong membership body and our Volunteer Welfare Caseworker population. A key focus for these positions is developing and delivering more flexible interventions, including distance study and potentially accredited learning solutions.

With a proven record of successfully supporting organisational results through training delivery, experience of working with, or demonstrable knowledge of, the issues facing membership and volunteer populations is highly desirable. The roles will require a significant amount of both weekend working and UK and European travel.

All Training Officers should either have or be working towards a recognised training qualification such as ITOL, CITP etc. You will have proven experience of delivering training in a wide range of subject areas, be strong team players with excellent communication skills and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders.

Training Officer roles will be based from home or at our central London Head Office (LW payable based upon location) with travel as described.
