On Friday 7 July, the Legion will commemorate the centenary of the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) - the first time women were formally fully enrolled in our Armed Forces – as well as women’s Service in the British Armed Forces ever since.

Applications have now closed for this event but the National Memorial Arboretum will be open from 9am-5pm for the public and the event will be streamed live on screens in Heroes Square. We also encourage guests to take the opportunity to explore more than 300 thought-provoking memorials that can be found on the 150-acre site.

If you have already applied for a place then you should have received your e-ticket. Guests will need to be seated by 11.30am for the drumhead ceremony, which will be followed by a reception.

If you have any queries, please email women100@britishlegion.org.uk or phone 020 3053 7216.
