Are you unsure about how to claim disability benefits?

If you're a Legion beneficiary and you're suffering from an illness or injury - or you care for a beneficiary who suffers from an illness or injury - we can help you to claim the state benefits you're entitled to.

These benefits can include:

  • Disability Living Allowance;
  • Attendance Allowance;
  • Carer's Allowance; and
  • Employment and Support Allowance (this was introduced in 2008 to replace Incapacity Benefit).

Your illness or injury does not have to have been caused by Service, and it could be psychological or physical.

Our advisers have excellent knowledge of the benefits system, and we can guide you from your application all the way through to further action if you need to dispute anything. 

If you’re already on disability benefits

We can also help you if you're worried that you might lose your existing benefits. We'll help you to renew your claim and advise you on how to continue to get everything you're entitled to.

And if things don't go your way we can represent you at a tribunal hearing.

If you want to dispute a decision

If you're unhappy about the outcome of your benefits claim you can go to a tribunal and try to get it changed. 

Hearings can be confusing and difficult, and it is very important that you don't miss out any relevant information. Your appeal is much more likely to be successful if you have representation at the tribunal, so we don't just help you with guidance and advice - we'll also represent you.
