Can we help?

If you suffered an injury or illness on or after 6 April 2005

You can claim under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme if your injury or illness occurred or became apparent on or after 6 April 2005 and it is related to your Service in the Armed Forces.

Who is covered?

The Armed Forces Compensation Scheme covers all Regular and Reserve personnel, including Gurkhas.

You have to make your claim within seven years of the injury or illness. Or if no specific incident caused your condition then you have to claim within seven years of leaving Service.

You don't have to wait until you've left Service to submit a claim.

How can we help?

The Legion helps beneficiaries to claim under the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme.

We will listen to your account of your case and tell you what to do next. We can also represent you at the appeal tribunal if you want to take further action

Face-to-face advice

As well as helping you over the phone and by email we can also meet you to discuss your situation.

We have a team of specialists who hold a number of local clinics at Legion county offices who will help you with your claim.
