Care and support

We provide a range of welfare services to Serving and ex-Serving Forces personnel and their dependents to improve and sustain quality of life.

The Legion promotes independent living and through our services, enable people to stay in their homes for longer. But when this is no longer possible, we also provide Care Homes.

Dunkirk Memorial House groupThe Legion has six care homes catering for ex-Service men and women and their partners. Situated around the country, they offer a wide range of services including four with specialist dementia care.

Family & Adventure Breaks

Family holidaying at Bennet HouseWant to get away from it all? A short holiday at one of our four Poppy Break Centres provides so many veterans and families living on a very limited income with their only opportunity to have a seaside break. They are perfect too for ex-Service people recovering from an illness or bereavement.

In-home services

Handy _Van _service _250x 167The Legion provides specialized support services to help our beneficiaries who may require assistance around the home.

Our handyvan service will come to you and help with everything from changing a lightbulb to install grab rails.

We have volunteers who can provide a support service to those Legion beneficiaries who may be in hospital, housebound or feeling isolated.

Dementia care

Admiral Nurses -Mrs Gordon2The Legion is dedicated to providing specialist care and support to its beneficiaries living with dementia. Both those suffering from dementia and their carers need our support through at home services and residential care homes.
