Below is a video of Tom's story. Tom served in the Royal Military Police, and was posted to Bosnia and Northern Ireland amongst other places. In Bosnia, Tom spent a large amount of time dealing with war crimes, numbering bodies from ethnic cleansing and helping local civilians. When Tom returned home, he realised that his Service had taken its toll more than he had initially realised.
Director General Frances Done and Director of Welfare Sue Freeth, accompanied by National Vice Chairman John Farmer, launched the campaign on 13 September in a press call on the Albert Embankment near Lambeth Bridge in London. Frances and Sue also gave a number of media interviews on breakfast TV and radio, including BBC Radio 4 Today programme, BBC Breakfast and BBC Radio 5 Live. Highlights of the launch are included in the video below.
The BBC Daily Politics programme has posted the following magazine item re Honour the Covenant on Youtube. It was aired on September 27 and features an interview with Frances Done and with Major General Arthur Denaro CBE, who carries the Covenant in his wallet.
