Commémoration du 67eme anniversaire de la victoire du 8 mai 1945

(VE Day)

On Tuesday 8^th May 2012 the annual Ieper Entente Victoire commemoration will be held. This year the event coincides with the annual visit of The Royal British Legion Staffordshire (County Branch).

Starting venue: St Georges Church Hall in Elverdingestraat .

• 17:00 Buffet St Georges Church Hall (5 euros)
• 18:30 Holy Mass in St Maarten and St Niklaas Cathedral.
• 19:15 Parade to the Monuments and the Remembrance plaques.
• 19:30 Ceremony at the Belgian Monument, French and Polish Commemoration Plaques
• 20:00 Special Last Post at the Menin Gate.
• 20:20 Parade in front of the Town Hall. End of ceremonies.
• 20:30  Formal sitting, followed by a reception offered by the Town Council in Town Hall.

This promises to be a memorable evening and we hope that as many members as possible will attend.
