The Poppy Appeal in The Royal British Legion Village Branch

The Poppy Appeal  total collected by and on behalf of the Village Branch during 2010/2011 amounts to £17,332 (as at May 2011), slightly down on the previous year's figure of £18,040.  However, the 2010/11 figure is subject to change between now and the end of our financial year on 30th September 2011, but the figure quoted clearly reflects another successful Appeal campaign.

The results for the Branch's fund raising efforts over the last 5 years are summarised in the chart below.

We extend our thanks to the many people who have worked so hard to make our fund raising efforts so successful in recent years, and in particular, to our Poppy Appeal Coordinator, Mrs Brenda Clewer.  And of course, many thanks to the people of The Royal British Legion Village, friends, and associates who have responded so positively to the Appeal.  The generosity and encouragement of our many supporters is very much appreciated!
