Shipston Remembers

Following a short service of dedication at the War Memorial in front of St Edmund's Church, Wednesday 16 September 2009 saw the successfull launching of the book "Shipston Remembers".

Researched and published by our member Mike Wells, the book tells the stories of the men on the Town's War Memorials - where they were born, what schools they went to, which regiments they served in, where they served, how and where they died and where they are buried. Included are photographs of the men themselves and their grave stones.

It is an extremely interesting and fascinating read and, of course, very moving as well.  Additional facts are included plus references to more men with a Shipston connection only. 

It is over 200 pages long in A5 size and is a must for the bookshelves of all who have an interest  in our town.
