Remembrance
The Royal British Legion is recognised as the National
Custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day
traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their
lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
The Annual Remembrance Sunday Service is held in Lisbon at
the beautiful St George's Church. Details of the service can

In Oporto the Service is held at the Anglican Church of St James

In The Algarve the Service is held at The Anglican Church of St

A ceremony is also held annually at 1100 on 11th November at the
English Cemetery in Elvas (http://www.british-cemetery.com/
