The Poppy Appeal in Loughbrickland

Loughbrickland Branch has once again shown its fundraising skills. This years total was £6946.81

The Royal British Legion Loughbrickland branch poppy appeal 2010 raises £6946.81 for the charity.

A truly magnificent effort by all our poppy collectors was how it was described by the poppy appeal organiser Comrade Ian Hawthorne at the Poppy collectors annual dinner and presentation of awards, held in Banbridge Royal British legion club on 15th March 2011.

Our chairman Comrade Norman Allen presented awards to four poppy collectors for 10years service. The branch would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved, collectors, churches, schools, people who gave donations or bought wreaths and the general public in the Loughbrickland, Glasker, Annaclone, Donaghmore, Scarva areas for there generosity during the 2010 appeal and look forward to their continued support during 2011.
