The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
llth November 2011 - Hondón de los Frailes
140 people gathered in the village church to remember those who had given the ultimate sacrifice in the many conflicts. Piper Drew Wilson led the Branch Standard and the Spanish and Union Flags into the Church. The Reverend Canon Terence Sampson officiated. Afterward members, guests and friends paraded to the garden square where wreaths, flowers and small crosses were laid.
