Events & Activities 2012
Saturday 14th January
2012 annual conference held at the
Walls Social Club in Gloucester. Dursley & Cam branch delegate
was Mr Tony Miliner. Mr George Compton and Mr Scott
Temlett were voted onto the county committee. We now have
had three branch members on county.
Branch standard bearer, Miss Kate
Reynolds, runner up in the 2011 county standard bearers
competition, recieved the Wilf Briton cup from County President,
MajGen Paul Stephenson for the second year running.
The vintage badge collection
was displayed for the first time and attracted a lot of
interest.
Friday 20th April
Garden Open day at Tormarten Court. By Kind permission of Mr
& Mrs Finnamore, branch volunteers will sell teas, coffee and
cakes to visitors all proceeds for the Poppy Appeal.
Sunday 29th April
ANZAC parade at
Leighterton.
Weekend 12th/13th May
Little Vintage show Cambridge.
Weekend 11th/12th June
MVT Area Show show
Cambridge.
Saturday 16th June
The branch annual trip. This year
we will be going to the Bovington Tank Museum and calling in at a
RBL Club on the way back. £10 deposit required from all those
wishing to go asap.
Sunday 24th June
The parade and bar-b-que to
celebrate Armed Forces Day +1 at Hardwick Branch. Timings and
details to follow. .
Saturday 14th July
The Dursley festival. This is our
ONE oppertunity to meet the public and sell books on our own patch.
We need 4 or 5 members to run the stand and any others are welcome
to come along and look good.
Friday December (date to follow)
Branch Christmas party with raffle, a quiz, mulled wine mince
pies and nice stuff to eat. Be there for 1930 hours and watch the
chairman slaving over a hot stove. Dress as you feel.
