Poppy Appeal 2010 cash total tops £15,000
THE Chaddesden branch of the Royal British
Legion has increased the amount of money collected for the annual
Poppy Appeal by half.
The branch raised £15,450 at venues
throughout the city.
Robb Ellis, Vice Chairman, said: "Not only
are we as a branch exceptionally happy with the final figure but,
given that the country's economy is struggling to correct itself,
it proves that people are inherently kind and generous."

Poppy People
Help us keep our annual Poppy Appeal growing. Without volunteer
collectors out on the streets, sitting in the supermarkets,
distributing boxes around the local businesses or even helping
count the cash collected, this great cause would grind to a
halt.

Appeal should contact the branch Poppy Appeal Organiser.
