Poppy Appeal 2011

As of 9 December 2011, the amount of money collected and counted by the Chaddesden branch of the Royal British Legion is £20,450. This is an increase of more than 30% over last year's amount.

Poppy Appeal 2010 cash total tops £15,000

THE Chaddesden branch of the Royal British Legion has increased the amount of money collected for the annual Poppy Appeal by half.

The branch raised £15,450 at venues throughout the city.

Robb Ellis, Vice Chairman, said: "Not only are we as a branch exceptionally happy with the final figure but, given that the country's economy is struggling to correct itself, it proves that people are inherently kind and generous."

Poppy People

Help us keep our annual Poppy Appeal growing. Without volunteer collectors out on the streets, sitting in the supermarkets, distributing boxes around the local businesses or even helping count the cash collected, this great cause would grind to a halt.

Anyone interested in helping in the next Poppy Appeal should contact the branch Poppy Appeal Organiser.
