Sue Chandler, Bredon's Poppy Appeal Co-ordinator, writes at the beginning of December 2010:

"The Coffee Morning raised £402.56 and the House Collection £2169.46.

Altogether so far, with donations, wreaths, church collections etc we have raised £3359.30, so providing we have a good Jumble Sale in the Spring we should have improved on last year's total.  I think the major factor was probably the wristbands which sold like hot mince pies to the schoolchildren in Draper's (the local village store),who collected an amazing £328.72."
