On behalf of Mrs Nancy Herschell

The Wreath laying on Tuesday, 23rd of March at Berlin War Cemetery Heerstraße. It was on behalf of Nancy Herschell (nee Sheridan) who resides in Montrose, Scotland.

Her brother was a Sgt  “airgunner” in the RAF and was lost over Berlin on the night of the 27th of March in 1943.

Her cousin Mr John Sheridan served with the father of Tom Smith - The Chairman Royal British Legion Berlin Branch - in the 4th Reconnaissance Regiment in 1944 and 1945, before being transferred to the 17/21st Lancers.

John - or Jack to his friends - is still alive but suffers ill health with Parkinson disease, he is visited regularly by Nancy.
