Legion offers Korea opportunity for graduates

The Royal British Legion is offering a unique opportunity for graduates to study and live in the Republic of Korea. 

Applications are now open for the 2015 Samsung / British Korean Veterans Association / The Royal British Legion Scholarship which offers an incredible opportunity for a graduate from any discipline to live and study in Korea for up to two years. 

The Scholarship was established in memory of those who gave their lives during the Korean War (1950-53).

Administered by The Royal British Legion, the scheme has been running since 1995, during which time students from all walks of life have taken part.

Presentation to the winners of the 2014 Scholarship. Liam O'Dea is studying for a Masters Degree in Business and Korean International Studies at Korea University and Jeremy Parker plans to start his studies at the beginning of 2015.
 

The Scholarship begins with an intensive language course in London, followed by a return flight to Korea in February 2015 to start a post-graduate course of the winner's choice. The successful applicant will also be eligible for a return flight to the UK once per year.

Previous winners have studied subjects as diverse as Chinese, Japanese, Politics and Economics in British universities, before choosing post-graduate courses to study in Korea.

The scholarship is open to members of the public, with a preference for those with a family connection to the Armed Forces (for more details, read the Terms and Conditions).
