Legion grant supports new welfare facility
15 February 2012
A new welfare facility has been officially opened
for 4 Medical Regiment and 22 Field Hospital thanks to a £20,000
grant from The Royal British Legion external grants
programme.
4 Medical Regiment provides pre-hospital medical support to
injured and sick personnel and their families, as well as
comprehensive welfare support.
The facility will be used as an area for families and soldiers to
go to for advice, welfare support and a meeting point throughout
military operations.
It will benefit 462 service personnel and their families from 4
Medical Regiment. It will also benefit 186 personnel and
their families from 22 Field Hospital, which will increase to
approximately 350 whilst on deployment.
