Legion grant supports new welfare facility

New Welfare Support FacilityA new welfare facility has been officially opened for 4 Medical Regiment and 22 Field Hospital thanks to a £20,000 grant from The Royal British Legion external grants programme.                       

4 Medical Regiment provides pre-hospital medical support to injured and sick personnel and their families, as well as comprehensive welfare support.
  
The facility will be used as an area for families and soldiers to go to for advice, welfare support and a meeting point throughout military operations.
 
It will benefit 462 service personnel and their families from 4 Medical Regiment.  It will also benefit 186 personnel and their families from 22 Field Hospital, which will increase to approximately 350 whilst on deployment.
