A selection of regional Poppy Appeal launches

Gunner Mark Stonelake of 29 Commando Regiment, Royal Artillery, and the High Sheriff of Devon, the Hon. Mrs Sarah V Lopes (granddaughter of Earl Haig) with school children at the Devon Appeal launch.

The Appeal for Cheshire and Wirral was launched at Dale Barracks with the help of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welsh, and the Lord Mayor of Chester Councillor Johnson.

9000 racegoers gathered at Newbury Racecourse to support the launch of the Berkshire Appeal. The Royal Navy Raiders Freefall Team were also there in force.

Welsh Guards were among the army of uniformed and ex-Service people who took to the Capital's streets to collect for the Appeal on London Poppy Day, raising a record amount.

Max Baggio, 15, the top skiier on the British Junior Ski Team skied around giant poppies at the Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead for the Hertfordshire Appeal, supported by Team Evolution.
