Bikers present Poppy Appeal cheque to Miss England
03 April 2010
80 motorbike enthusiasts descended on The National Army Museum this Saturday to present a cheque for over £100,000 to the Poppy Appeal.
The £100,720 donation was received by Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge also known as Miss England, on behalf of The Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal.
The Riders Branch of The Royal British Legion, which has raised the funds over the past 12 months, officially handed over the huge donation in typical biker fashion, by riding on mass to the National Army Museum to present the cheque to the Army's most well known soldier, Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge, Miss England.
This donation has helped the Legion break all previous Poppy Appeal records, smashing last year's total by over £1million !
