Queen's Birthday honours for Legion staff

Congratulations to the following Legion staff who have been received honours in the Queen's Birthday list 2009:
Colonel Piers Atherley David Storie-Pugh MBE TD DL
Operations Manager, Poppy Travel
Has been awarded an OBE for services to The Royal British Legion. Piers set up Remembrance Travel (which is now Poppy Travel) nearly 25 years ago. He has a passionate commitment to pilgrimages and has travelled the world extensively with groups of relatives and veterans. He has also made a number of films, especially of Burma. He is a badged member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides, spent some 29 years in the Territorial or Regular Army and is also involved in the Army Training Regiments' Programme.
Mrs Petronelle Fowler-Watts
Matron/Manager Lister House
Has been award an MBE. Pet has been Matron at Lister House, one of the Legion's Poppy Homes, for 13 years. Lister House recently was runner-up in the prestigious Pinders Healthcare Design Awards.
She was due to retire in September but the Legion has asked her to stay on and oversee the final stages of a £7 million project at Halsey House in Cromer, Norfolk.
Congratulations also go to Mrs Fiona Mary Florence Bishop, a Legion branch treasurer who receives the MBE for services to British ex-Service men and women in Hong Kong and to Bill (William Richard) Reed, Vice-President of Lyme Regis branch who has been awarded the MBE for community service in Lyme Regis..
