Picture your hero competition

To support Armed Forces Day, the MOD is running an art competition for children aged 9 to 14.
The prize for the competition is a VIP day out with the Royal Navy for the winning entrant and a friend (plus two legal guardians).
The competition is entitled Picture Your Hero and entrants are to let their imaginations run wild and draw a picture of their hero.
It could be their favourite footballer, superhero, mum or dad or even someone in the military.
Submissions – which can be sketched, painted or a collage of images - will be uploaded and displayed online.
The closing date is 26 June. An expert panel, including artist Arabella Dorman, who featured in the April edition of Defence Focus, will then select the winner.
