Injured ex-Royal Marine skydives with Crown Prince of Dubai

05 January 2012

ex-Royal Marine with Jump for HeroesThe sun was shining in Dubai for the 3rd Dubai International Parachuting Championship and Gulf Cup 2011 in December, where the Legion's Extreme Flight Team Jump4Heroes were competing.

Jamie Fowler, a former Royal Marine who was seriously injured 24 years ago on a Royal Marines Demonstration Jump, was attending the event as a guest of the Meet Director, and had the opportunity to undertake his 80th tandem skydive since his accident.

Jamie, who has raised thousands for the Legion distributing poppies in Constantine, Cornwall, made his tandem jump wearing a Legion 'shoulder to shoulder' t-shirt, and was accompanied by the Crown Prince of Dubai, an enthusiastic patron of the sport.
