Friends of the Forces short-listed national award winners announced
14 June 2010
The Royal British Legion is proud to announce
the national shortlist for our inaugural Friends of the
Forces awards, recognising the contributions made by some of
Britain's most loyal volunteers to the Armed Forces
family.
Those shortlisted have been invited to attend a gala ceremony in London in July, hosted by BBC military historian Dan Snow, where the national winner in each category will be announced.
We received over 400 nominations for people who have gone out of their way to help care, support, campaign or raise funds for any of Britain's Service personnel and veterans. Winners have been chosen in categories recognising individual, youth, community, and corporate contributions.
