Raise money by carrying out your normal shop
21 February 2012
Supporters of The Royal British Legion are being encouraged to
use
Give as you Live™ as an easy way
to donate to the Legion.
The scheme allows people who are shopping online, buying the items they normally would, to give money to the Legion at the same time.
How does it work? Give as you Live retailers, including Tesco, iTunes, Sainsbury's, John Lewis, Expedia, Lastminute.com and many more donate a percentage of each purchase you make to the Legion.
The average retailer donates 2.5% of each purchase you make.
Supporters can sign-up to Give as you Live by downloading the software/plug-in (click on the image above), then shopping as they would normally.
Give as you Live is promoting a special offer for charities until 31st March 2012 whereby they benefit from additional donations if new users sign up by the date.
When the Give as You Live software is downloaded, computers automatically remember that users have signed up to the scheme every time they visit a partner website. If you are a regular shopper, you could raise hundreds of pounds for us!
