Westminster Field of Remembrance
11 November 2010 - 21 November 2010
The Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey pays
tribute to all the brave Service men and women who have served in
our Armed Forces since World War I.
The Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey will be officially opened by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on Thursday 11 November at 11.00am. Please note that following a request from the Metropolitan Police and Westminster Abbey, the official opening is now a ticket only event.
Due to safety concerns attendance at this year's event has had to be controlled and priority has been given to personnel directly associated with the regimental and other associations which participate at the event.
Tickets have been issued to these individuals and therefore if you do not have a ticket then you will probably not be given access to the Field of Remembrance until after the service at approximately 12 noon. Numbers admitted will be monitored closely to ensure that as many people as possible are able to attend.
Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.
The Westminster Field is in the grounds of Westminster Abbey, Parliament Square, London SW1. It will be open to visitors daily from 9.00am until 4.00pm and closes on Sunday 21 November.
Nearest tube stations are St James Park and Westminster.
