Field of Remembrance, Wootton Bassett

HRH Prince HarryThis Field of Remembrance pays tribute to all the brave Service men and women who have lost their lives serving in Afghanistan. 

The Wootton Bassett Field of Remembrance is situated in the grounds of Lydiard House & Park, Lydiard Tregoze, Swindon SN5 3PA. 

The official opening will be at 11.00am on Tuesday 9 November. Prince Harry will attend the opening and will plant a Remembrance Cross in the Field.

The Prince will also meet Service personnel taking part in The Royal British Legion March For Honour, and set them off on their March to London, to commemorate Service men and women who have fallen in Iraq and Afghanistan. Finally, Prince Harry will meet local schoolchildren before joining a reception for Royal British Legion supporters and personnel, as well as local civic dignitaries.

After the official opening the Field will be open to visitors daily from 9.00am until 4.00pm, closing on Sunday 21 November.
