Army v Navy rugby match at Twickenham
28 April 2012
Since 1878 the Army
and Royal Navy have competed for Service rugby supremacy, and
from 1920 the battle ground has been Twickenham Stadium.
In last year's thriller the British Army triumphed. They will be keen to retain their silverware, while the Navy will be itching to get back to winning ways. With both teams determined to win the Babcock Trophy in front of 60,000 spectators; the event promises to be an exhilarating battle.
Saturday 28 April will also see the Combined Services U23 take on Oxbridge U23; Army Women v Navy Women and the Army Masters v Royal Navy Ancient Mariners.
The Royal British Legion is the official Service charity for the games this year.
