Friends of the Forces Awards regional winners

The Royal British Legion inaugural Friends of the Forces awards, recognising the contributions made by some of Britain's most loyal volunteers to the Armed Forces family, have been presented to 32 regional winners from around the UK.

Of these 12 were shortlisted for the national awards which were presented at a gala ceremony in London on Tuesday 13 July, hosted by BBC military historian Dan Snow and attended by Prince Harry.

We received over 400 nominations for people who have gone out of their way to help care, support, campaign or raise funds for any of Britain's Service personnel and veterans. Winners have been chosen in categories recognising individual, youth, community, and corporate contributions.
